The mighty touring cars of the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s, will again grace Queensland’s spiritual home of motorsport.
The Lakeside Classic Speed Fest is a multi category event featuring racing, sprints, regularity, a mini hill climb and the [color=#00ff00]Shannons Show and Shine.[[/color Lakeside Park circuit welcomes back cars from the renowned Group C and Group A category and touring car veterans Jim Richards and Mark Gibbs will step back in time when they drive demonstration laps in their Nissan R32 Skylines. The two “Godzillas” will also be driven by their current owners in the Group A & C touring car category.
Other touring car classes include Group N and the Australian Trans Am Championship. Group N will see Falcon GTs, XU1 Toranas, Escorts and Monaros, while the Trans Am series unleashes the fastest group of American muscle this side of Detroit.
Cost - $20, children 12 & under free, students 13-16 & pensioners $10
